The INSAS is an art school that is part of the network of the French-speaking Community of Belgium that was created in 1962. Its audiovisual programme confers Master’s degrees in film and radio-television-multimedia with a specialisation in directing, production, photography, sound, editing and screenwriting and Bachelor’s degrees in photography, sound, editing/scriptwriting and directing. Its drama programme confers a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in dramatic interpretation and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in directing, writing and set management. The teaching method used puts the emphasis, as part of a core approach towards artistic work, on the learning of instrumental practice and team work. The teaching staff is comprised of professionals active in creative fields. Since 2009, it is the cofounder, along with the ENSAV La Cambre and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, of the ART.es platform.
